[Chungbuk Ilbo] The Chungbuk Chapter of the Korea Technology Innovation SME Association and the Chungbuk Regional Small and Medium Business Administration held an Innobiz certification and plaque award ceremony on the 10th in the administration's main conference room. The event was attended by Roh Jin-sang, head of the Chungbuk Regional Small and Medium Business Administration; Ahn Jun-sik, chairman of the Innobiz Association's Chungbuk Chapter and CEO of Blue Mountain Technology; and roughly 30 heads of Innobiz-certified companies from the province. Five companies newly certified this year as technology-innovative SMEs were Daekyung Housing, NST, Geoyang Core Co., Ltd., ATL Co., Ltd., and Hi-Metal Co., Ltd. Each received an Innobiz certification document and plaque at the ceremony. A tea-time session followed, giving Administration head Roh Jin-sang and the business owners a chance for direct dialogue. Companies shared current issues and challenges in an open networking session. Ahn Jun-sik, chairman of the Chungbuk Chapter, said, "Innobiz certification formally recognizes a company's technical capability and innovativeness, and serves as an important springboard for SMEs to advance to the next level. We will continue to provide diverse support and maintain close communication at the association level to actively back the growth of Innobiz-certified companies in the Chungbuk region." Roh Jin-sang, head of the Chungbuk Regional Small and Medium Business Administration, said, "Technology-innovative SMEs are the driving force behind the future of our regional economy. Building on this certification, we will actively support more companies in building technological competitiveness and advancing into global markets."
